3 PPl.

Through through process. Photographing through photographs.
Building images in front of the camera. Focusing on the graphic element of a diving man.
Images produced on BW film.

2 Juxtaposition - Controlled Chaos (disks and viewfinder)

My Idea was to present the chaos as images. These images being based on natural phenomenons out of our control – the sea, storms, waves and the chaos theory.
The controlled element was how the images were to be viewed. The viewfinder offered the viewer full control over the controlled images.

Zinc 2 Zm

Recently decided to make some crops of one of the prints. Interested in the charcoal like texture that can be produced with this type of press printing.

Unravel

Unravelling Sound. Whilst listening to each track, thinking only about the sound, I created unconscious marks with the same pen in hand on pages of equal dimensions. The idea being presented is how influential sound is on our subconscious, and how it changes our mood. The thickness of line, heaviness of pressure, pace of pen and density of marks reflects the mood and rhythm of each song. After evaluating my mark making I feel that each page represents the track it corresponds to accurately in terms of mood and feel. I thereby hope the reader, when studying a particular drawing would get an understanding of the corresponding song and what mood it creates before listening or in reflection of listening. I have compiled the drawings into a book of the proportions of a CD case and have included the two discs of music that the book relates to.
